This Wildlife guide is effectively a list of Brazil’s top national parks each representing one of the country’s many biomes: The Atlantic Rainforest, the Cerrado, the Amazon, the Coast, the Pinherais and Campos, the Caatinga and the Pantanal.

The book was great fun to write with all the research on and off the field and it brought out my greenest self. Having thirteen images published in the guide was fab, tool. You know, authors may publish books upon books and write articles upon articles, but when they publish a photo of ours, we go ape like little kids; at least I do.

There was a lot of discussion on the photo. Originally, it was a toucan, but thankfully the picture researcher saw the light.

It was also the first big commission I got from networking with the British Guild of Travel Writers. More would soon arrive.
