Makedonia Palace Leoforos Megalou Alexandrou 2, +30 2310 897 197 The grande old dame of Salonika, safe option.
Mediterranean Palace Salaminos & Karatasou 3, +30 2310 552 554. You won’t believe this hotel was built in the late nineties; such is the Art Deco arrangement inside. Great location by the Ladadika.

I Mirovolos Smyrni Odos Komninon 32 inside the passage, +30 2310 274 170. The taverna featured in my earlier post, great ambiance, great food.
Zythos Platía Katoúni 5, Ladadika, +30 2310 540 284 The best restaurant in the hip Ladadika area, has also opened a branch near the White Tower at Tsirogianni 7 +30 2310 279 010.

Kitchen Bar Fantastic sport inside the port depot, opposite the Cinema Museum. +30 2310 502241 Fantastic view of the city promenade. Try their salads for a main course.
Where to Go at Night
There are three nightlife hubs in Salonika. Earlier in the evening before 8pm, go somewhere between Aristotelous and the White Tower.
Tribeca Nikis 19, +30 2310 226 604 Extremely busy especially on a Sunday evening. Student crowd.
Later, you can go to the Ladadika, an area rejuvenated like the Docklands.
Buba Mara Baiou 7 and Orvilou, ladadika +30 2311 273 313 Balkan restaurant/bar with live music after 8pm where you pour your on beer from the tap on your table.
Kismet Unplugged, Katoúni 11, Ladadika +30 2310 548 490 Loud rock music inside, quite outside.
But the real nightlife is buzzing further up along Valaoritou St which is the latest hip place in Salonika.
Partisan Valaoritou 29 +30 2310 543 461 The busiest of the lot.
The Real Rock N Rolla Valaoritou 31, 2313 037 828 The best cocktails with award-winning baristas. Good alternative music.
Enola This is a gay disco on Valaoritou 19, which I didn’t check, but I am told is very busy.
